Movie Review- PARMANU

'PARMANU'
In it's literal terms means an Atom- The smallest possible amount of Chemical Element.

Parmanu dates back to the year 1998 when India faced a huge criticism and shame at Global levels due to their failure of conducting unplanned nuclear tests in 1995.

The whole film revolves around a team who dream of making their nation an independent nuclear state.
The test of Pokhran is highly regarded as one of the successful covert missions ever undertaken by India.

Talking about the film, Parmanu itself has a very detailing plot that discussing over the fictional aspect will take away the seriousness and the patriotic aspect of the film.

The cast of film is diverse and when it's John Abraham playing an Agent it's always a treat to watch. He carried himself really well in Uniform and looks absolutely sharp. The rest of the cast is fabulous and it's fun watching them all play their part.
The mix of Real and Reel seems to be a good combination.

Such a movie is not to be missed but any one of us. Such achievements require attention and need to be highlighted. The young generation should know how few minds who did not run behind recognition and laurels left behind an undying mark.

The Pokhran Test left America stunned and rest of the world wondering.
To know how and why - watch the film.

Do not miss.
Finally I give 4 stars out of 5 for Parmanu.

Movie Review- AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Avengers: Infinity War
was the most anticipated and most awaited movie of 2018. Since the Civil War there had veen many speculation about the ending of the Avenger series.Without giving any spoilers, lets begin the review.

The Plot- To know what Infinity war really means must have seen or should have an idea of all the previous parts since they all are intertwined and very much connected. As the poster reveals, Thanos the villian of film is behind collecting all the Infinity stones also known as gems in the marvel comics. If he aquires all of them he will be the most powerful on the entire universe.

The Cast- The cast is undoubtedly the elite cast ever assembled. It was a pleasure to watch all the cast in one single film. Right from Iron Man to The Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Story- The story of the film is not quiet difficult to grasp and is heavily paced and rightly edited. The only thing which itches me is that there have been very long intervals between scenes which shouldn't have been done.

The Verdict- Overall the the film is mind blowing and leaves a great impact.

Movie Review- RAEES

SHAH RUKH KHAN In and As ..
'RAEES'

The Most Awaited ! The Most Anticipated Movie finally got a date and a year to flash itself on the silver screen.

I will first begin by saying that, "Had there not been such a powerful cast and so much of commercialisation 'RAEES' as a movie would have gone unnoticed." A bitter fact about this movie.

Getting Actors like SRK and Nawaz on board gave a shape and provided a reason for spectators to go and watch.
By now you guys must have got an idea as to how RAEES would have looked without SRK and others.

The film is set in late 80's and early 90's where bootlegging was a routine. SRK who plays in and as Raees is accompanied by his childhood friend Sadiq(Zeeshan Mohammed) go on to become one of the fierce bootleggers of their time.

The best part of RAEES being the 'dialoguebaazi' and the primitive locations which add to the selling element. I was not really impressed by the songs. There seem to have been no efforts taken on writing and composing suitable songs which go with the nature and composure of the movie. A complete thumbs down for songs.

A major loophole which can be felt and seen is the editing of the scenes. Absolutely raw and noob. I wonder how filmmakers don't really bother to notice such minor issues which affect the entire viewing experience. They thought of showing everything but unfortunately ended up skipping and leaving scenes half done and ready

Looking at the Republic Weekend and it's clash with Kaabil, RAEES's revenue might get affected.
By weekend it should touch the 100cr mark. On the other hand I doubt it will cross 200-250cr mark.

Finally, I give 3 out 5 stars for RAEES.
* Additional half a star for SRK and his entry*
SRKphiles are going to love it.

Movie Review- NAAM SHABANA

'NAAM SHABANA'

I was really surprised when Naam Shabana was announced and adding to my surprise was that it was based on a single character which had less of action and scenes.

Neeraj Pandey being the director of both the films i.e. BABY and NAAM SHABANA there were quiet few things which were repetitive. I don't mean to say in respect of characters, but few action sequences seemed to be like that of Baby.

Taapsee Pannu ! She has been outstanding. She has started to find her own genre of movies and her own place in the industry ! Kudos !

Ajay and Brijmohan as previously played by Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher respectively are seen playing their characters quiet well. They provide the audience with a taste of nostalgia. Job Well Done.

On the other hand the editing seems to be lethargic which makes the movie watching experience a bit dull. Had the effects and editing been crisp it would have been an add on.
Naam Shabana's story is powerful, makes sense and has link with its predecessor, Baby.

Finally,
Rating: 3/5

Movie Reivew- MOM

'MOM'
Before I even review it, Iam going to give you guys my verdict.
A MUST WATCH ! A MUST WATCH ! A MUST WATCH !
I give 4.5 stars for MOM !

The concept on which the movie is based has been the topic of Trauma, Pain, Consent and Humanity - RAPE.

It's a moment of shame that in a country like India where we worship Female Gods throughout the year for reasons which benefit us has become a centre point or a hub for RAPE cases and their respective victim.

What we see in a movie might be a real case of someone's daughter/wife/mother/friend during her teenage years or even after she gets married.
Abuse does not only mean physically, but even verbal abuse it sort of a RAPE. Anything done without the consent of either of the sex will lead to RAPE.

Coming back to MOM. Iam running out of words. I cannot express what I felt. I cannot elaborate my feelings.
Sridevi Kapoor has lived every scene of this film. She has given everything she could and she will be applauded for her choice of role in MOM. She being a mother has understood what a mother will go through if her daughter was the victim of such inhuman activity.

Akshaye Khanna. The name itself is enough for you guys to know what the guy is made up of ! Acting runs in his blood. He acts when he feels like and leave an impression even though his role might be of a minute.

Now Finally ! Nawazuddin Siddique.
Nawaz Bhai Kahan se latei ho yar itna perfection ? You just blew my mind. The way he acts I doubt any of the handsome hunks from the industry are even near him.
He does not act ! He lives the role. He does not treat his character to be fictitious but someone who is live and will be immortal. Hats off !

The direction is out of this world. Even a routine scene seems so perfectly carved and leaves an impact until you don't leave the theatre. BEAUTY !

DO NOT MISS THIS ONE !! PLEASE DO NOT !

Movie Review- DADDY

'DADDY' ...a.k.a ARUN GULAB GAWLI.
Yes ! You read it right. He is more known amongst the masses as Daddy than his name.
In recent times biopics have become a mainstream routine in Bollywood. But making Biopics which leave an impact or keeps your mind engaged are few.
After watching Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and M.S. Dhoni the kind of biopic I was expecting out of Daddy was way different.

Today's generation does not really know who Arun was and who he is now. For them to know who he was/is must watch Daddy.

Generation which is going to enjoy the most is that of our parents. They have seen Arun Gawli evolve from a Gangster to now as a  Politician serving his life sentence.

Coming back to the movie, Arjun Rampal couldn't have looked more like Arun Gawli than he looks in the film. He has picked up every habit of Daddy. It might be his diction, baritone or the way he throws a stare. The kind of perfection Arjun Rampal has moved into this film will surely set a benchmark for all the upcoming biopics.
The detailing of the film is bang on. Just to give the film a 'Marathi' touch they have assembled a complete Maharashtrian cast which brings out the typical 'Dagdi Chawl' touch.

A major drawback which is going to affect the ratings are the audibility of the dialogues. Poor. Extremely Poor. Since a few dialogues skip your ears it becomes difficult to keep a track as to what's going on in the film and by the time you are back you have already missed a minor portion of the film.

Apart from the drawback the film is a complete tribute to the Gangster turned politician. Couldn't have been better than this.

Farhan Akhtar's cameo is gripping. The character which is plays is a regular Under World name but comes across every biopic made on a gangster or his collateral rivals.

Finally I give 3.5stars out 5stars for DADDY
*0.5 less for poor audibility*

Movie Review- TIGER ZINDA HAI

'TIGER ZINDA HAI'

A Salman Khan starrer film was the much awaited and anticipated film of 2017. For Bollywood 2017 was a year of comedy films where Golmaal Returns and Fukrey Returns managed to grab their share.
Amongst them which stood different was Tiger Zinda Hai.

Salman Khan has now become the face of Bollywood. With over 4600 screens over India and 1100 screen overseas, Salman will end his year with a bang and is surely going to be a treat for all hardcore Bhaijaan Fans.
His birthday just being few days away accompanied by a long weekend TZH will witness a stupendous growth by the next weekend.

The film is a complete entertainer and in my opinion will be declared a blockbuster in a day or two. Salman's swag will pull the audience to theatre screens.
The movie has an extra dose of action which for few might not be as pleasing as action lovers.
Katrina and Salman as a pair light up the screen with their chemistry and timing. They somehow manage to define 'Couple Goals'

TZH is not flooded with songs which keeps the momentum of the film going. There are one or two unrealistic scenes which are obvious when it's Bhaijaan's film. Ignoring them I loved the film.

Finally I give 4 stars for Tiger Zinda Hai !

Movie Review- HICHKI

'HICHKI'
A Rani Mukherjee starrer film revolves around an ambitious person who aspires to be a Teacher despite having a neurological syndrome.
Deliberately I refuse to reveal the kind of syndrome it is because it's what the movie is all about.

The word Hichki over here does not really mean a hiccup but personifies a persons road block or the his/her struggle to overcome their fears or any hurdle.

Hichki is moderately paced where in a span of 1hour 56minutes there are patches where movies grips you while at some check points it drops it's momentum.

Rani Mukherjee has been brilliant. She is making her delayed comebacks with such power pack performances. The kind of role she was handed was indeed challenging and may have required a lot of reiteration.
The 14 kids are the soul of this film. Very expressive, energetic and promising.

The other part of the movie has been the ruthless truth of ones school life.
There may have been many instances where a student is ignored or bullied because of academical performance or the background which he comes from or many other unsaid reasons as well.
There lies a bitter truth in and around a classroom where a teacher has been seen favouring a bunch of students who are bright and obey the teachers.
Hichki highlights those small issues which have a long lasting impact on the psychology of student. What gets engraved stays with him till there is someone who helps him come out of the quicksand.

And this where a Mentor enters.
I agree to this fact that everyone must have one mentor in his life who will show him the direction no matter how grave the situation.
Mentor does not always mean a living person. It can a Tree or a Dog or a Stone as well. A mentor does not walk with you but directs you in the directions which make your life better.

I salute here to all my Teachers who have been there when I needed them the most. We might not be in touch on daily basis but I  know they will be there for me. That thought itself is assuring.

Finally, I give 3 stars out of 5 !! And 1star extra to all the Teachers who moulds a student to stand and bring out their true potential.

Movie Review- RAID

'RAID'

I at times wonder why does a production houses or the marketing teams don't dive themselves into promoting a film of such stature or reach.
Even after it's trailer launch I did not see much hype around the film taking it's release into consideration.
It makes me mad that such movies due to lack of awareness fail to garner the media and public attention.

But but but.. RAID is in safe hands. When you have Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla battling it out  on screen you don't really have to be anxious about the story nor the collection.
Just 2 days back I was watching Singham thinking once I am done with my dinner I would switch it off. Yes, I watched it till the end. Singham was AD's wild card entry to the class of 'A' Listers. This is what Ajay Devgn does to you. Grips you till the end.

RAID has a very uncomplicated story with not much of air around it. To the point yet very catchy. Set in 80's and based on true incidents.
Duels between Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla are curious and gripping.
The dialogue skirmish between the two are high on notes, ultra-fine and precise.
Both the characters are powerful and fun to watch.

RAID will wintess an upward trend in the upcoming days and sure to amass ample of praise and love.

Finally, I give 4 stars out of 5 for RAID.
Do watch.
Jai Hind.

Move Review- Sonu Ke Titu ki Sweety

'Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety'

Highly impressed. When you have a story to tell be sure you are going to be applauded for the same no matter how small or moderate your production Is.
Biggest example in today's time is Luv Ranjan's formula to hit to get all the notes together and then hit them right.

'SkTkS' is probably going to be one of the best films of 2018. It has witnessed the highest gross opening in a span of three days and will continue to invite more and more. After the massive success of films like Fukrey Returns and now SkTkS I have formed my opinion and would conclude that there is no end to the genre of Comedy or Comic. People love to laugh. Keep their tensions aside, grab a tub of popcorn and relax.

The assembled cast is not new to anyone of us. They are mind blowing. They know their plot well. They want to experiment. They want to accept the challenge and they have successfully grabbed the opportunity.
Never seen a cast with so much of energy, innocence, grace and finally timing.
I was happy to see Alok Nath in a 'never seen before' avatar.
KUDDOS TO THE ENTIRE TEAM.

The concept of Bromance vs Love brings out a completely new perception. How friendship should be and how it can be.
Every person watching this film will remember that person who were once like Sonu and Titu.
The new era Jai-Veeru.

SkTkS is a good experience. I thoroughly enjoyed. The house was full and Iam sure I will continue to be for next one week.

Finally, I give 4 stars out of 5.
Do not miss this one.
Enjoy the film. :)

Movie Review- PADMAN

'PadMan'

Before I begin, here is a humble request.

It would be a kind help if all of you courteously circulate this piece of message along with my review amongst your peers and family.
Iam not asking this to gain any sort of publicity or likes but my sole intention being awareness amongst the masses who consider menstrual cycle a taboo.
You can very well crop or blurr out my name but for a social cause share this article.

So let's begin...
How difficult it would be for a Man who calls himself the symbol of strength to bleed continuously without any remedy to stop ?
If I had to put myself in place of my mother or sister or my female friends it's very difficult. Next to impossible.

I can very well relate to this pain though I don't go through this every month but I have been witnessing this keenly for approximately 15years of my life since the thing I have started to know what a Menstrual Cycle is.

During school days I remember we guys used to make fun of the sanitary napkin advertisement which had this tag line- "Sirf Chabees." I think all of us can relate to this.
I do not sympathize with females nor do I pity them and I suppose they dont even feel the need. Since it's a natural process we as Men should be supportive enough to not make fun out of it but put forward a step a understand and take care when a female is going through her days during a month.

R. Balki and Akshay Kumar have touched a very sensitive issue and Iam sure it will have a very far reaching effect.
The movie is fabulously carved and hits the bulls eye without wandering around. You won't find any glamour in the movie yet it's so rich in conveying it's message. Thats what I movie has to be.

I have hardly seen Akshay Kumar promote a movie to this extent as he did for PadMan. This movie deserves such kind of promotion and will receive the right amount of appreciation from the audience.
Radhika Apte is outstanding. I loved her. She is powerful actress. Sonam Kapoor apart from her firangi accent she is plastic. Her introduction is funny but towards the end she is good.

I will request all you to kindly hit the theatres near You. Apne India Ka Superhero.

Finally I give 4.5 stars out of 5 for PadMan.

Movie Review- PADMAAVAT

  • 'PADMAAVAT'

Formerly and famously titled as 'PADMAAVATI'
It just did not make any sense by re-naming a film which was under the scanner for such a long time. Purposely even after prebooking the show tickets I was standing near to the box office to witness as to how the auidence would ask for the ticket. People asked for Padmavati tickets rather than Padmaavat. History does not change just by changing the name or editing few scenes.
I was wondering.. had there been not so many cuts and edits, movie would have a run time of 3:45minutes easily. So my question is- Where there any cuts ?
Getting back. Padmaavat as the disclaimer speaks is a work of fiction. I mean WoW. How foolish and stuoid can a disclaimer be.
Moving ahead.
I will first begin with Ranveer Singh. He has been outstanding throughout the movie. His character is pure monster. The character sketch of Allaunddin Khilji has been potrayed as the one to kill with his looks. He is a superstar for me and I am sure for many others as well.
After I heard that Shahid Kapoor was casted in the film I just couldn't see him fit in the Bhansali movie puzzle. He comes across as an outsider and I could not digest he being in the movie. Looked like an outcast. He has always been a fabulous actor but seriously underrated. I loved his acting and his dialogue deliver.
Deepika Padukone. Iam sorry but I have no words of praise for her. She has been consistent but not in the movie race but the kind of roles she has been doing recently. I really couldn't figure out difference between he character as Leela, Mastani and now Padmavati. He over expresses which after a point is difficult to bear.
Songs are below average. Ghoomar has a catchy edge over the rest. Movie is slow paced and haywire. By the time you settle into one the second scene has already begun.
The hype around the movie and the criticism and political interference will affect the box office business immensely. Adding to this the film has garnered mixed reviews which is catastrophic.
Finally I give 3 stars out of 5.

Movie Review- SANJU

'SANJU' Sanjay Dutt- A synonym for Controversy. Sanjay Dutt- A second name to Drugs. Sanjay Dutt- A name interchangeably used for...
